YOU have Victory in Jesus!
In this world we will have tribulation (James 1:2); But be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world (John 16: 33, 16-17). The one who overcame this world is greater than he who is in this world (1 John 4:4). Christ lives in you so you can overcome anything and do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13, (Galatians 2:20).
You and I are not perfect, God understands (Romans 3:23). Therefore; Jesus, being the form of God, came in the likeliness of man to give us life and hope (John 1:1-14, John 14:6, John 14:20, Philippians 2:5-9).
Jesus ONLY said and did what was from our Heavenly Father (John 12:49-50, John 8:28, John 8:38, John 10:36-38, Hebrews 10:7).
Jesus is the way to the Father, He is The Word of God (Revelation 19:13, John 1:1-3, John 14:6). Jesus bore the punishment of all our sins voluntarily (John 10:18). We are not defined or stuck in what hurts us; because God helps us be sanctified into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18)
Jesus promises to keep us from the evil one, He is the good shepherd that guides us to safety (2 Thessalonians 3:3, psalm 121:7-8,John 10:11). Jesus is our promise of a Hope and future: A Home where there is no more death nor sorrow nor crying (Revelation 21:4).
Connect with God and pray for wisdom from His Holy Spirit to understand how Jesus came to heal the blind, sick and mute including you (Matthew 15:30). Through the Holy Spirit, we can understand the hope and love God gives us in Jesus, the amount of patience and forgiveness He has for us, and His unlimited mercies towards us (Lamentations 3:22-23). Through Jesus, we are given the Holy Spirit to help and guide us in everything (John 16:7,13).
2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
Psalms 121:7-8
The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever.
Matthew 28:20
And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
John 14:18
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you
Matthew 24:30
God did not leave us here alone, He has a plan for restoration for us. His name is Jesus and He is making a home for you:
John 14:2-3 "In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
Ephesians 2:19-22 - 'Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.'
Matthew 14:24-31
It can be hard to see God in the storm. The Disciples also struggled to see Jesus in the storm (Matthew 8:23-27, Matthew 14:25-27). Do not be discouraged, you are not alone, Jesus is there with you, He says it is okay, have faith in Him. God can rebuke any storm in your life and rescue you out of the water, no matter how deep it is. Did you know that nothing including water itself cannot surpass God's command? (Proverbs 8:29, Lamentations 3:37-38). Even the Disciples were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” The storm will pass and the chaos around you will cease. You have a future of peace and hope (Jeremiah 29:11); A future filled with God’s goodness and love and beauty forever (Psalm 27:4). It is a future filled with God himself at the throne to protect you (Psalm 47:8).
Romans 5:15
For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
God's Comfort
There is purpose for your troubles.
James 1:1-3
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
'As one whom his mother comforts, So I will comfort you; And you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.' - Isaiah 66:13
We are not abandoned in the storm left to defend for ourselves (John 14:18). God does not bring grief or trouble willingly to us (Lamentations 3:33). Troubles are all part of God's Good plan (Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:28).
Trials exercise endurance, not to break you but to strengthen you (James 1: 3). So let that endurance grow (James 1:4). Don’t look for an escape, but lean into God and learn through Him.
God is always working for the good of His people (Romans 8:28), and according to Romans 8:29, this good purpose is to make us like Christ. Our trials are where our most important lessons are learned. We learn from our mistakes and difficult situations. Our Trails have a purpose, and are ALL part of our loving heavenly Father’s plan to conform us to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29).
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
It is UNTRUE that troubles only come to weak, disobedient people or to those who don’t have enough faith. Job was considered blameless and upright in the eyes of the LORD and so was Jesus. Always discern man's report with the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes we try to find an escape through our trials or attempt to run away from them. We may fill our lives with busyness and foundations not laid on Christ as a means to "help" our pain. These temporary solutions do not fix what needs healing, only God can.
What is troubling you?
List it down, lift your hands and surrender them to God. Car trouble, injuries, job loss or financial difficulties, rebellious children or marriage failure, Give God your feelings of rejection, insecurity, guilt, shame, depression, worry, rage, and envy.
God knows your circumstances right now. He knows the various troubles you are experiencing and wants you to come to Him, rely on Him to get you through. When God walked this earth, He endured the same kinds of trials, temptations, and sufferings we suffer today.
Through the valley of the shadow of death, God will be there with you and comfort you, so you will have no need to fear evil. (Psalm 23:4)
“Why did this happen? Why me? Why now?”
More fruitful questions:
“What can I learn from this about God’s grace? About the love of His Son? About the comfort of the Holy Spirit? What important truth is God teaching me at this point in my journey?”
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed;
perplexed, but not in despair;
persecuted, but not abandoned;
struck down, but not destroyed.
Troubles are an opportunity to grow & spend time with God
