Trust God

"Trust in Him at all times you people; pour your hearts to him, for God is our refuge"  - Psalm 62:8

Jesus says the first and greatest command is to "love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ (Matthew 22:37-39) & Love always trusts (1 Corinthians 13:7).

We can trust in God because God provides for us in every single way before we even know what we need (Matthew 6:8, Philippians 4:19, James 1:17). Matthew 6:26, Psalm 145:16 & Psalm 147:9 shows us that God takes care of every single bird that neither sows or reaps, every animal and living thing on the earth; After-all He created them. Jesus says "Of how much more value are you?" (Luke 12:24)

God loved us before we had the knowledge of love or felt the blessing to love anything or anyone.  God took us out of our mother's womb, screaming and crying, nothing to offer Him; Yet He graciously clothes us and guides us everyday in His perfect love and grace (Psalm 71:6, Psalm 22:9, Psalm 32:8).

God records every tear in His bottle; When we cry to Him our enemies turn back, therefore, of whom shall we be afraid? (Psalms 56:8-11, I Peter 3:13). When we feel fear and uncertainty over our future, we can trust our loving, good, faithful God (Psalm 100:5, Psalm 34:8) who promises us Jeremiah 29:11. Our fears are based on our limited understanding of life whereas God has understanding over everything from the beginning of time, God is called The Ancient of Days (Isaiah 46:10). How we view the environment is not the truth, God's Word is the Truth (John 17:17).

Trusting in God does not mean invalidating your feelings or pretending to be okay, it means pouring your heart to Him and trusting Him to keep you safe because Love always protects (Psalm 62:8, Psalm 121:7-8, 1 Corinthians 13:7).

Our parents may not treat us like a parent should because we all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We need to keep in mind that we as humans do not represent God. God is seperate and Holy (Isaiah 6:3, Leviticus 11:44-45, I Peter 1:15, Revelation 15:4). God is our good father who has compassion and takes care of His children (Psalm 103:13). You can be at ease because God is true and righteous, He has written days ordained for you (Revelation 16:7, Psalm 139:16).

Our future is secure in God's Righteous hands. Trust His presence in your life and enter God's rest. Let go of the need to control every day or everything, surrender to God and focus on one day for tomorrow has its own worries (Matthew 6:34).

Trusting God can be hard especially when our circumstances don't look good, or when our trust has been broken by someone we thought we could trust. We may wonder why a Good God allows something so terrible to happen to us, or why God didn't stop something from happening? God's timing, protection and help does not always look like what we think.

What can we trust? God is changeless, He will never betray you (Hebrews 13:8, Deuteronomy 7:9, Malachi 3:6)

Reflect on how God has taken care of you up to this present moment of your life.

I Corinthians 13:7

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

Psalm 71:6

By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother's womb. My praise shall be continually of You.

Revelation 16:7

And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

Philippians 4:19

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

This verse reminds us that even in our deepest struggles, God is watching and ready to offer His support.

The Eyes of The Lord are watching over you.

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.” — 2 Chronicles 16:9

Biblical Examples of God's Faithful Support:

"The God Who Sees Me" (Genesis 16:13)

Sarah's maidservant, Hagar fled from mistreatment and false accusations into the desert alone (Genesis 16:5-8.). God saw her in her distress and comforted her. She declared, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” God didn’t overlook her pain—His eyes were on her pain, and He cared for her, providing her with hope and direction. Just like Hagar, we can trust that God sees us even in our most isolated moments.

Trust God's Vision:

Like Hagar, when you feel abandoned or invisible, remember that God sees you. He knows your struggles and will come to your aid when you cry out to Him.

Trusting God's Provision (Genesis 22:8):

Abraham, with a heavy heart, was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac. Despite his feelings, he trusted God saying, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering" (Genesis 22:7-8) Abraham believed that God, who saw his heartache, would provide a way out. And so, God provided a ram in place of Isaac (Genesis 22:13 ). When we face heartbreaking moments, we can trust that God sees our pain and will provide in ways we might not expect.

Believe in God’s Provision

Like Abraham, in your darkest moments when things don't make sense, trust that God sees the bigger picture. He will provide what you need, often in ways you never imagined.

"Our God Will Save Us" (Daniel 3:15-18)

The king threatened Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego saying if they did not worship their gods, they shall be cast immediately into the burning fiery furnace (Daniel 3:15) Daniel's friends declared, “Our God will save us... but even if not, we will not serve your gods.” (Daniel 3:17-18) They were confident that God was watching over them, and despite the outcome, they trusted in His perfect will.

Hold on to Faith:

Just like Daniel's friends we can trust that God has the power to deliver you from your trials and give you the strength to endure them.

God’s eyes are searching for hearts fully committed to Him. He sees your pain, your faith, and your struggles, and He is ready to support you no matter what stage you are in life. Whether through provision, protection, or deliverance, you can rest assured that God has got your back!

God created everybody for a great purpose in God's plan even Pharaoh to show God's Glory to Egypt (Romans 9:17). God has a unique plan for you, filled with promise and potential. You are a child of the Most High God, and you are destined for greatness.

David was depressed.

Hannah was bitter in her soul.

Moses had anxiety.

Peter had anger issues.

Ruth thought she had no future.

Paul persecuted the church/Jesus.

BUT God turned their trials into victories. He transformed their messes into a message. Their struggles are a testimony of overcoming with God for many today. You might be going through a trial right now, but stay strong in faith because God isn’t finished writing your testimony.

YOU HAVE A FUTURE IN GOD!

God has plans to prosper you not harm you (Jeremiah 29:11), & He is working everything out for your good (Romans 8:28)! So don't be afraid of what is ahead. Instead, face the future by focusing on today and your faith in Jesus Christ. Trust that God is with you and He will guide you  through every step.

God will always do whats best for you no matter what it feels like. The enemy's ultimate goal is to undermine your trust in God. He questions Our Father's motives... "If God really loved me,  He wouldn't allow this to happen..."

The enemy makes us associate the pain of spiritual discipline or Gods will with a lack of his care for us. However, God's love for you in Jesus Christ is unshakeable, a sacrificial everlasting love (Romans 8:35-39). God rebukes those he loves (Hebrews 12:6, Proverbs 3:11-12) Discipline from God means you are a member of God's family. God loves you so much that He doesn't let us stay the same but sanctifies into the likeness of his son and help you mature in faith (Romans 8:29).

Remember the Lord is omnipresent. He sees the end and the beginning and what fruit comes from the challenges you face. You may not understand why he allows certain hardships but difficulties are evidence God is working on your life and best is yet to come. Don't lose heart!

Lamentations 3:22-26

Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD.

Lamentations 3:31-33

For the Lord will not cast off forever. Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion According to the multitude of His mercies. For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men.

God is ABLE!

God is the only one who can give you peace in your troubled soul, like the Israelites and the red sea God will provide a way!

understanding God's plan in the pain...

Sculpted in the Suffering:

In your current situation, it can be hard to comprehend God's purpose. The Holy Bible records testimonies that remind us that God works through all suffering, proving that our trials have meaning and are integral steps to His Divine Plan.

Joseph's testimony shows us the Power Of God's Will in suffering.

Betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and later wrongfully imprisoned, Joseph’s life was filled with pain. Yet, through these adversities, God was preparing him for a higher calling. When Joseph became a leader in Egypt, he was able to save his family from famine, and declared, "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive" (Genesis 50:20). Joseph’s Story Reminds Us That GOD Can Transform Our Darkest Moments Into Blessings.

The Purpose Of Pain: A Refining Process

"My Brethren, Count It All Joy When Ye Fall Into Divers Temptations; Knowing This, That The Trying Of Your Faith Worketh Patience" (James 1:2-3).

Our Trials are an opportunity for spiritual growth. Just as gold is refined by fire, we are refined through life’s challenges. Pain and hardship serve to strengthen our faith, teaching us patience, resilience, and deeper dependence on GOD.

Job suffered unimaginable loss And suffering; Losing his family, belongings, and health, Job questioned, wrestled, And sought answers, but he never turned away from GOD. In the end, GOD restored Job double of what he lost And Blessed Him Even More Than Before (Job 42:10). Job's testimony demonstrates that suffering, though painful, can be a stepping stone toward a deeper relationship with GOD and more understanding of HIS character.

Christ Jesus: The Ultimate Example Of Suffering For A Greater Purpose

Jesus endured betrayal, ridicule, and ultimately death on the cross for the redemption of humanity including you. "Who For The Joy That Was Set Before HIM Endured The Cross, Despising The Shame, And Is Set Down At The Right Hand Of The Throne Of GOD" (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus embraced HIS suffering, knowing it would fulfil GOD’S plan of salvation.

Through Jesus' Wounds, we are healed. "HE Was Wounded For OUR Transgressions, HE Was Bruised For OUR Iniquities: The Chastisement Of OUR Peace Was Upon HIM ;And With HIS Stripes WE Are Healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Christ’s Suffering Was Not Meaningless; It Was The Very Means Through Which Humanity Was Reconciled To GOD (2 Corinthians 5:18).

Hope Beyond Our Trials

"For I Reckon That The Sufferings Of This Present Time Are Not Worthy To Be Compared With The Glory Which Shall Be Revealed In Us" (Romans 8:18).

Paul reminds us that earthly suffering is temporary, a small part of the eternal glory with Jesus. In our trials, we can look forward with hope, knowing that GOD has prepared something far greater for us. Paul endured shipwrecks, beatings, Imprisonment, And Countless Adversities For The Sake Of The Gospel (2 Corinthians 11:23-27). Yet, He Proclaimed, "I Can Do ALL Things Through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). Paul’s life is a testament to the fact that no matter the extent of our sufferings, GOD’S Strength enables us to endure, persevere, and overcome.

Trusting GOD’S WILL Requires Surrendering Our Limited Understanding And Believing That HE Sees The Bigger Picture. "For MY Thoughts Are Not Your Thoughts, Neither Are Your Ways MY Ways, Saith The LORD" (Isaiah 55:8). When We Acknowledge That GOD’S Wisdom Surpasses Our Own, We Can Rest In HIS Sovereignty Even Amid Our Struggles.

In Essence, While Suffering May Seem Unjust Or Purposeless, The Bible Assures Us That GOD’S Will Is At Work In Every Season Of Our Lives. Like Joseph, Job, And Paul, We May Not Always Understand Why We Face Trials, But We Can Trust That Each Moment Is Woven Into GOD’S Greater Purpose For Our Lives. In Every Moment Of Suffering, Remember: GOD’S Will Is Being Done, And HIS Plans For You Are Good, Steadfast, And Filled With Hope.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
